Avenues residents gutted after ‘installation’ fails £50,000 forensic authentication test
A group of wealthy NR2 residents who raised over £50,000 to validate a nearby ‘satirical epigram’ were said to be reeling last night after it emerged that the mural was unlikely to be the work of anonymous activist ‘Banksy’.
Speaking for the group, Nicolas Burton (61) told The Lentil:
We’re disappointed obviously. We believe that the piece is an ironic counterpoint to the narrative on sexual freedom in the #metoo era
But it’s all gone to sh*t because we’ve spent fifty grand just to learn that it’s probably going to drive house prices even lower . . .
